Sold sorry gents!



Up for sale is the custom shop FSH Variant the one that I won in the eBay auction it is/was my understanding that it was one of two knives produced for the auction and they are not copies of each other. I am not sure if that makes them one of a kind or not. Please feel free to set the record straight.

I will accept money orders or if you want, I can help you set up an account with Obopay.com. If at all possible please use credit cards they are MUCH safer for you. I am Director of US Operations and head of risk and compliance for this company so using my former employer PayPal where I headed up their global investigations for 7 years is bad form. The primary reason I'd like to use Obopay is with us like PayPal you'd have chargeback rights if you use your card. I hope that makes sense.

Shipping:
I will ship only within the US via whatever service and whatever priority the buyer wants. They must accept shipping confirmation and I'd prefer a residential address. We can discuss that before I close the sale just to make sure it meets your approval. I want to ensure max protection for both of us. I don't know anything about shipping knives cross border and don't want or need the trouble so must be US resident. Heck I don't really know anything about shipping knives period. I am a consumer by nature. SO if you have recommendations or specifics you want followed please let me know. I'll do my best to accommodate. I plan on shipping as quick as humanly possible after the sale closes.

I just got home from work a bit ago pardon the delay. These are the two knives. I have been gently told that 3 knives for this price is insane. If someone wants the 3rd knife with the small line of corrosion rust whatever it is on the serration I will add it to this for a total of $1500 1 FSH, 1 green linen Nark and 1 I guess brown linen Nark. To answer some questions sent to me. Yes, I do understand the price etc. I do appreciate the sentiments and warnings but when life kicks you in the balls you gotta act sometimes. And that means this is a firm price. I would even raise it a bit but not sure if I am allowed to do that after setting the price. I am guessing you could sell the other two and make much of it back. Yes, I do feel stupid let's not compound life's little curve ball with telling me I am stupid please.

Knife info :
It has never been used or sharpened and it has been stored in a box that has been sitting all by itself. I got home and took it out of box to take picts. I noticed a rust blemish on the pommel and have included a photo. It is a Fusion Steel Heart Variant. It was very publicly won and received by me during a charity auction on eBay back in 2004 if I remember correctly.

And just to make it a sweeter package I have a Busse knife that I accidentally bought two of during a buying frenzy shortly after I got this knife. So its kind of a twofer. I don't remember what the name of the other knife is it is about a 4 inch blade with about half of the top serrated. I'll include picts of that as well.

I know what it is worth to me personally but that doesn't matter right now, I am not the one buying it. I would prefer PMs with the offers if that is permissible.

Agreed, the decision to sell it was done at work and the knife and the camera are at home will post as soon as humanly possible.
 
I have gathered that this is a 1/4" FSH with snakeskin scales and a gently recurved blade (yours was the second auction, correct?). Is the blade color coated or is it satin or doublecut?
Is the second knife also unused?

As stated I don't remember what the other was one called I bought these back in 2004ish so don't recall the names. I will hopefully get someone to ID it via the photos.

No it just says Custom shop. Yes, I do believe it was the second auction. I had asked for a certificate or something never got one and kind of fell out off my radar. My fault for not following up past a couple of emails I sent. It is brownish tan blade. The second knife is unused I have never truly messed with it. I am thinking that if the general consensus is after seeing all 3 that if the price for the two is too high I'll throw the 3rd in not sure if I am allowed to adjust the price upward if there is interest in all 3. I'll just have to rely on the forum here to steer me in the right direction or not.. again my goal is to ensure the buyer is happy.


I am in California and have a couple meetings then I'll run home take some quick photos of it with my phone just so folks can see if if necessary I'll whip out the D7000 and some lights and take some fancier shots.

I would like to withdraw my offer on the set of knives but would be interested in the satin NARK by itself if you are willing to split.

I was only offering the 3 knives if the consensus is that I was going to high with the 1300.00 So let's be clear. I had considered adding the 3rd knife if you guys thought I was too high on the price. I have gotten multiple emails pointing out the folly in that.

So I now have 1700 for all 3. The FSH Busse and the smaller Busse in in the photos that does not have the small bit rust on the serrations are for 1300. 1700 for all 3.

I can send more photos to someone if they are interested in all 3 too tired tonight.
 
The FSH has never been used or sharpen by you or it has never been used by anyone?

Ps how did it get rust I thought the coating protected it?

I am not pulling any Jedi mind tricks here when I say it has never been used or sharpened that is exactly what I mean. The only thing I have done with it (honestly no one has even touched it except my wife and I and only she touched it when we touch photos just now) is admire it after I got it, put it in a box it went with us when we moved for 3 yrs and then back here to California. I have NO idea how the rust got there. It has been sitting in a satin lined mahogany box that contained very fragile art work I got when I was in Shanghai for business in 2005. I have not even looked at it since I moved back to Cali back in 2008. I haven't had the time or desire to sit around and admire possessions. I was shocked to see that this afternoon.

Gents not sure if I'll get more comments or interest tonight but I am hitting the rack I have another 3am round of meetings with folks overseas.

Jerry Busse made this himself as a tribute to Uncle Bill and Rusty who had just passed away. A great gesture by Jerry to benefit the families of two fine men.
"These Tribute Fusion Steel Heart blades were hand ground by me and have a khukuri inspired, gently recurved blade and feature a full height convex grind."

I have also reduced the price for all 3 to 1500.00 final. I thought about it last night and my goal is not to make a profit on this and I don't think I am.
 
Im a bit confused, if the 1500 price includes 2 special presenation narks and that one fsh, Ill take them. Only seeing 2 knives in the pics :confused:

I'm interested but which one is the third knife? I see the pictures but only see two knives. Is the third knife the same style and look of one of the knives pictured above. Or is the third knife already pictured above and I just don't see it?

The other 2 knives are both Narks 1 is a Green Micarta one is a brown micarta. Keep in mind that is MY description if busse fans call them something else but hopefully you guys can see that one of the narks has a bronw handle one a green handle.
