This is a hefty knife forged from L6. The thickness is just over 1/8 in. The OAL is 12 in and the blade is 7 in. The handle is curly birch that has been scorched, sanded, dyed blue and finished. I got some real neat coloring. It has a leather belt sheath.

sold. Thanks for lookin.

Seriously Dave, your killing me I can't afford for you to keep making knives like this. I hope you sell it quick! Happy Thanksgiving.

Love the blade, did you dye the wood yourself?
Alan

yes. I scorched the birch then sanded it. I used acetone to clean the wood pores and used a dye on the surface. I did a acetone wipe to get the majority of the dye off and then sealed it.

I own several of Dave's knives, and know that you'll be happy with this one -- I was very tempted by it myself, despite having no need for another 7-inch blade, because the proportions of this one look so "right".
