Hello BladeForums folks. I've got a gently used Vosteed Nightshade that is an excellent example of a classic Chinese style all-purpose blade style--the Shilin cutter. I had been curious about this knife pattern and didn't really know about the company. I am impressed with both, but I just don't carry this one enough to justify keeping it in my collection.
Below are the specifications from the website. The knife retails for $69 (S&H not included) and I've only used this knife for a few basic cutting tasks. Some answers to common questions: blade is centered; action is excellent--flip open in a flash with thumb or finger; drop shut close; micarta feels good with nice grip and there are no hot spots; the edge is very keen and evenly ground.
