SOLD

Basic Camp Chopper forged out of 3/8" 1095FG, with some real nice Curly Koa scales. Overall length is 15", blade is 10"long x 1-3/4" wide x 5/16" thick. Differentially heat treated with convex edge, "brushed" finish. Does have a nice hamon I just didnt etch/polish etc....

Curly Koa, looks way better in person. Lots of contour in the handle for a real secure grip when cuttting etc. As evidenced by the clean bamboo cuts, it will do the job in the woods.

Price is $400 with soft case, $450 with leather sheath, soft case. Price includes shipping in the USA, and paypal fees. Payment by Paypal or USPS money order only.

I know it's been sold but may I ask you how you differentially heat treated this 1095? Is it full quenched then soft back draw of the spine?
Appreciate it! Great knife!

hi Andy, I use clay, but generally I do a full quinch before clay, seem to have good luck doing it that way.

thanks! I forged/ground it years ago, and for some reason I never got to finish it up, until today. Its headed to a new home in Iowa.
