This is my "baby". I'm too old for that, someone needs to show her some love.
Was an as-new, uncut, uncarried Dua.....toooo thick a blade for me, so off it went to Big Chris Custom Knives for a regrind. I asked Chris to leave all other grinds stock, and just thin the main grind. Nice 30 degree edge by him. Sharp sharp.
He did, spectacularly. "Just a hair less than half the original thickness, behind the edge", he says. Looks great to me!.......but still unused, uncarried since I got it back from Chris. It is smooth as glass, from lots of easy/no flipping armchair love. No play, anywhere, nada. Centered as close to spot on as possible. Lockup 30% ish and rock solid.
***some slight little dingoes on one thumb stud, from removal....Chris told me it might happen, as Grayman puts them on snug. Purely cosmetic, and only a lefty would ever feel it.*****
I'm old and broke, gimme $260. inclusive to your door in CONUS.
Inclusive. All in. No friends and family crap. No box or nothin', Grayman knives don't need fancy.
