solid pins or hollow

i 'm making a small bushcraft knife can't decide between hollow pins or solid are there any advantage or uses for hollow pins or is it just amatter of astetics thanks chris :)

sorry for the double post i had a missed key storke in the title made it seem a little funny sorry :foot:
 
Use whatever you like best. Keep in mind that with hollow pins or tube whichever you want to call it. You may become annoyed with the fact that,, there may be times, when crap gets stuck in the tubes. Like when field dressing game. But other than that, they serve the same purpose.

thanks for the advice i just finished grind ing the knife a few minutes a go time to heat treat now. I was think along the same lines with the hollow pins collecting crap will have to get some one to help me post the pics thanks chris
