These are now SOLD, thank you BF...

They were commissioned by me and so sculpted and cast specifically to adorn knives, obviously a set based around their theme...
The Buffalo designed to fit as a through tang cross guard, the other four as Pommels, in this manner...
These are heavy things in their own right so will stand good sized blades to balance that...
The collar section of each fitting allowing for a section of tang approx. 3/4" x 1/4" to insert between the purpose made lugs and secure with epoxy or even a pin of sorts...
The external of the collars around 1 1/4" at the widest point each...
This photo shows the collar detail, there are also remnants of epoxy in there so it's hard to get an exact weight of the metal (read on)...

Here a close up of each fitting...

Now what you are looking at here is around 600g (21oz) of 925 hallmarked silver, it's hard to get a true weight due to the remnants of epoxy the exist, as is though total weight is around 650g (23oz) so 600g (21oz) of silver is likely worst case scenario...
Back in the day, and we are talking 20+ years ago I imagine, these were in excess of $170 each to be made...
They are a magnificent set just waiting to be made up...
My all in asking price within the UK is SOLD $750, plus tracked and insured postage which will be at cost...
Cheers all, thanks for looking, Stu.
