Greetings everyone. Rainy day in upstate NY :thumbdn:
Anyways I'll get to it, I decided to stop to an estate sale this morning. Picked up an old trunk 1908-15 ish ;) and a nice Wizard ratcheting hand drill and a few old looking hunting knives all for fifteen bucks!

Anywho, I was researching a knifeven I picked up and it looks very similar to a Solingen knife or a decent replica. I used some scotchbrite to get most of the rust off and now its sitting in a potato.

I've decided I'm going to put a new handle on it. There was bone on it originally, but it was broken and discolored. The authenticity doesn't really affect my plan for it, but I'd love to add to the experience and story of making my first knife handle (Blade from Germany? How cool!).

Thanks guys/gals!

I'll take some more pictures when I get back to the house!
