solingen knife blades

I still don't get it. How does that work, and how do you know this.

12345678910's link basicly sums it up. Ive seen vids and pics online showing what can happen with those wire tangs and i dont trust them. I love cold steel though just not their bowies. If they made the natchez or laredo with a solid tang i would get it in a heart beat

All I see on that link is a full tang with 3 holes. What are you talking about? I have never heard of a wire tang.

Cold Steel uses crimped cable as the tang extension in some of the Bowie handles

some folks have had trouble with the wood handle splitting apart with chopping.
Somebody bought one and cut it apart.

They are using cable and some crimped on connectors as a tang extension on a hidden tang,
probably because it's cheaper and assembles faster

Does anyone else wish that they just had a full length spike tang? They make really nice looking knives but the tang is just a selling point for me.

why not make your own from flat stock.
It's not that hard, you can outsource the HT and nothing beats the satisfaction of having dont it yourself.

That is unbelievable. More like insane. I would never have believed that if not for seeing it. THANKYOU for the photos. I would rather have a cheap blade made in India than an arrangement like that. Wow. That is mind blowing.

Hello, me as well would buy the Laredo emideately, if it had another tang. For me it's the best bowie design. Unfortunately I cannot find any alternative.
