The device is a hybrid storage device because it can accept power from either the sun or via a USB connector and will store the energy within Solio's internal rechargeable battery. The Solio can either directly charge a device with an internal battery or it can retain and then use the energy to power gadgets later at the same rate as a wall adapter.
