Rested some yesterday and feeling a little stronger today. Ecoli infection took a lot out of me.

We have some 12 inch village models, AKs and Sirupatis. Typical BirGorkha village style. Wood handles on all, I think, steel mounted, good solid blades with satin finish. The two samples Yangdu brought me are made by Shanker and seem pretty decent.

Price for these villagers are:

Sirupati $40 delivered
Ang Khola $50 delivered

Foreign orders will have to pay S&H costs.

No calls. Email only.

The folks who get these will be among the happiest khuk owners on the planet! (OK, maybe the Cantina. OK, maybe in their respective neighborhoods. OK, maybe...nevermind, they'll be VERY happy.:) )

I have a 12 inch Siru, and it makes for a neat knife. Mine was sharp enough out of the box to cut well, and it could be made razor sharp without much effort. It's weird because if feels so small (compared to anything but a bilton or kagas katne) and yet it's a an 8 inch blade with a 5/16 spine! :)

The Bir Gorkha ( BG ) villagers are unique, having the HI's quality, while not being so fancy you feel guilty over using them. And the roughly 8" bladed Siru's/AK's fit very nicely into an EDC ( Every Day Carry ) role.

Just ordered one up. The 18" Siru villager I got recently can cut up two weeks worth of cardboard boxes and still shave, and if the 12" is even close I'll find plenty of use for it.

Where's Two Dogs?!?!?!? He's been trying to get a 12" Villager by almost any means.
It's gonna be tough if he misses out on these!!!!:(

I may rag on Two Dogs, but I do really like the young man.:)

Two Dogs is the nickname I gave to Brendan for those of you who may not know who he is.;)
I really would like to see him get one of these.

If my car's window hadn't broken this morning... OOOHH this is tempting!!! :grumpy: Sorry Uncle and Yangdu, this frustration isn't directed at you in any way, it's at my own stupid self for trying a little DIY work on my car. Thanks to my mechanical skills I've got a couple of plastic bags where my back window used to be. Ah well, someday I will have a 12" AK, really I will. Sorry for venting everyone.

Two weekend deals in a row that I've missed. :( On the bright side, I know I would have popped for a sirupati and yesterday's GRS, so I'm about $165 dollars ahead for having missed out.

I'll get back in the swing of it soon enough...

Tough break Brendan, but I'm sure there'll be more. Kind of suspicious seeing that Duck pop up all full of joy in a thread about 12 INCH KHUKURIS. Got to wonder what the webfooted one is up to. Bet ya he snagged him another 12" AK villager so he can rig himself up a fancy two khuk cross draw shoulder holster.

Two-khuk cross-draw rig?

If that's the case, Sarge...you better tell Quackipuss that the sharp edges go DOWN! Otherwise he could cut off both his wings!;)

Not too unlucky it seems !!

A forumate has taken it apon himself to furnish me with a villager all my own !!

Thanks Ferguson !!

:)

By golly I'll drink to that, congrats Brendan, and good on you Steve. You know, there's many a ditch I've fallen into in my life that I'd of never gotten out of if not for a friend offering me his/her hand. At the risk of sounding mushy, it's a blessing to be a member of this forum and be able to call so many good people friend.:D
