Some 12" villagers -- no pix but deal.

Here you go Brendan. At some point you say "how many khuks does one man NEED?" A man shouldn't be a slave to his material possessions. But I hasten to add, I'm not getting rid of any more!:D

Oh lordy, you've done it now Steve, that fuzzy pink background will send Quackipuss into a mating frenzy!! His one-legged dancing girls will be all right, but those nice young ladies that dance in their birthday suits down at Solid Gold, or Club Rolex, had best pack their duffel bags and high tail it out on the first thing smokin'. :p :D

Oh crap. It is kinda pink isn't it?:barf: Not exactly my most masculine and manly background! (insert Tim the toolman Taylor Arrh! Arrh! Arrh!)

Can't wait to see what the Quackerooney has to say!:D

Steve

Kinda pink? I'm telling you, hide the women and lock up the sheep, nobody's going to be safe for a while.

I didn't even notice the background, I was too busy drooling over that beautiful blade! I may have to drive around with a plastic bag for a window a while longer if another of these comes up for sale, they're just so cute. :p

Keep in mind I had just woken up when I wrote that. Besides, I'm told that I am pretty when I drool. ;) :p

PINK!!NO COMMENT! Well, have one!! 'HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT DAN IS SELLING!!
As for your "SOLID GOLD" comment,"Where's that"?? I am a refined "gentleman"I do NOT frequent those establishments!tO PUT IT IN TERMS "YOU" UNDERSTAND YOU E6:D "I am now pure of heart",you know, clean thoughts etc.!
THE SAINT:cool:

Now look here Jim, about them girls at Solid Gold. Back in August of 1990, when I shipped out to Desert Shield/Desert Storm (spent 8 1/2 months in the desert, got credit for both), I was stationed at Homestead AFB, attached to the 31st Fighter Wing. Those ladies at Solid Gold got word that some hometown boys were "over there", contacted our base public affairs office to get our APO address, and sent us a nice care package, including a very poignant and patriotic letter signed by a whole bunch of 'em. Folks can snicker at the line of work they're in, but they'd be ill advised to badmouth those ladies in front of me. God bless 'em, and God bless America.

...that temper line is something special !!

On a second look at the pic, I guess that really is a temper line. I originally thought it was an oil stain. I originally thought "The guy takes the time to fancy up the handle but doesn't wipe down the blade, kinda sloppy." I wasn't gonna mention it though. :D  ;)

I recieved a 12"AK & a 12"Siru.
I noticed that the tip grind is way greater on the Right
than on the Left when looking down on the spine.

Not a big deal, just curious if all of these were made
by Shanker & if all show the same irregularity?

And, whether this is specifically characteristic of Shanker's work?

btw, really like the absence of english lettering on these.
Both these marked with trident.

Dean, I have a 15" Siru made by Bura like the ones you mentioned. Doesn't bother me (well, just a little at first) and it's one of the "pointiest" khuks I have. Sharp too.

Dean, I just received a 12" siru villager by Shanker, and the tip grind is just about perfect. Nice little thing; looks good blued, too.

My low profile, "discreet carry", 12" AK by Shanker is hanging on my belt under my BDU shirt as I type this. Got some "field training" going on this week.;)
