IMO - hard, perfect edge holding - but heattreated high this steel is not tough.
So can reach 66-67 HRC but only for cutting purpose.
No window opening or batoning.
But when cutting you can make 3 hogs and still shaving hands

I stopped using it because of cracking possibilities. Have 3 knives broken already...
Told users NOT to use as choppers but you know........ohh those customers.....

Exchanged Vanadis10 for Vanadis 4E - hard, good wear resistance and tough when hard 58 to 64 HRC.

Very similar to Bohler K390.

10% of Vanadium carbides when HT for secondary hardness does it work DO not even think of hand satin that prepared steel

Ahh ok. So super edge holding but not very tough. And crazy high hardness. Cool stuff. Thanks for the info!
