Some campout pics

Derek, from the extra pics you sent me, it sure looks like y'all should have set up a perimeter defense. I think you had a late night visitor.

Cool photos and story, interesting that you guys bailed (I've had to do that before). What would you have done differently to be able to stick it out if the temps went that much lower than you were expecting?

Well, first off not forget my sleeping mat so I don't have to freeze for two hours, then hike back to the car in the dark. Second, maybe a different sleeping bag. Something rated for lower temps. The goal here was to see if I could make it through 35-ish degrees with as little as I had. Unfortunately, due to the ineptitude of the weather forecaster, I still have no idea. After I got the sleeping pad, I was fine, but incredibly uncomfortable. My shoulders hurt like hell after sleeping on the ground like that, whereas with hammock camping I usually don't have any trouble getting comfortable. And we didn't bail, we just got up really early, and decided that we wanted to have an unorthodox breakfast after an evening of camping.

How long did that take you to whip up? Also, did you draw flexxx's rear from memory, or just crop in that pic you hold on to?
