Well LSU won and on the way back from getting meat to cook for the game earlier, I finally got my own "stump"...an old devil dog had to cut a tree down in my neighborhood and he said take everything I wanted. I took the smallest/biggest chunk I could manhandle into my vehicle and still make it home in time to cook (the rest were not quite as wide although taller, almost belt high, and he did not offer to help)...took a skinnier piece as well. This is some dense stuff...

So, I finally have my very own stump, so now I don't have to wait on trips to test out knives and edges for real in different scenarios with a solid base!

I could not be happier...

I gave $1000 to $10 that the Tigers would win today’s game at Awe-burn.

That is cool. When I was younger and more into testing knives performance, I had 2 stumps in my back yard and a big old log. They got beat on...

That is an interesting notch cut for sure. Haha. Nice work snagging that. I need to make one up for throwing my KDSH!

It is funny how "light" that FFG Regulator feels compared to the NMSFNO and the SHe with its stock thickness.

Yeah - I think with Busse-power I am going to chop a large groove that will hold (hopefully rather tightly and balance the longer log) so I can chop on that and have a groove to set wood for batoning in as well...what I have in mind will test many aspects of several blades in the process as well...

Will start tomorrow!

I look forward to seeing this one evolve step by step!!

Haha. I did the same thing with a log/stump I found about a block away from my house. My neighbor had cut down his tree and as I was passing by I asked if I could have the biggest one. That sucker is heavy! With it being not particularly even from top to bottom it was pretty tough getting it all the way to my house. I was definitely feeling the burn!

I have about 7 pine log sections stored in my garage. I do alot of testing on these, though the first one has lasted me about a year of chopping and still not split in half.

Nice stump for sure! Will give you something to take your frustration out on after the Dawgs come visit;)! I had LSU winning against AU, and was happy to pick up my money after.

Geaux (GO) Dawgs! Sic em...

I was in Athens at the game that went like 45-43 in your favor a few years back...this was before UGA or LSU would even consider the spread! Even though we took the Loss, I had a freaking blast and that game was insane. Our host was a UGA alum and he had such a blast showing all of us around. Athens is kick ass.

I always enjoy when LSU and UGA meet up. The fans from LA travel well, are great to talk to, and make some of the best tailgating food I have ever come across. I recall one time around 2005 or so when I got a little rowdy in Sanford and was asked politely to leave. Ended up at (stumbled upon) an LSU tailgate with some wonderful fans who made some incredible gumbo and gator tail. Watched the rest of the game with them and hung out until my friends came around. Since then, LSU has been my favorite West team, and pull for them unless they are playing UGA.

Gotta have a proper stump, but I've also gotten a ton of use out of this little guy. Porta-Stump:

Well fellas, I like LSU, but sure didnt take ole Dan Mullen long to get the U of F back, did it?
Florida may be playin the best ball in the country right now.

Florida outscored us on the mojo-swag factor yesterday, and the run - I do not remember them gashing us up for passing yards. True East-West Rivalry game at home in the Swamp. Hone field advantage is a real thing in the SEC, and we threw our first INT this year, etc, etc...the better team on the field yesterday won. Good play calling too. I knew we were not going to have it easy. If we can swing only 1 West Loss to Bama and knock off Georgia, then a 2-loss season looks badass. Even dropping 2 to the East and One to Bama and coming in second in the West will mean a good bowl, and a decent season. Although, Coach O will have one the hotter seats in the country if we lose 3, no matter what.

Hopefully we can do to Georgia what Florida did to us. Only thing that is different is that Georgia game is during the day and the Tigers prefer Saturday Night over the day. It's just differnt!
