some feed back please.

looks to me like your doing really good!
just keep doing it and everyone will get easier and easier and look better and better!

Looks good from Alabama. One thing an it's hard to tell from the picture but take a look at the tip of your blade, from the reflection it looks like the primary grind doesn't go quite all the way to the tip. Probably just a trick of light though.

One thing to look at as you progress (and you've made a much better start than I did on my first 15 knives) is edge geometry. This will determine how well your knife cuts. You want to consider and plan on what angle the grind will be as it comes to the cutting edge. If you have too thick an edge at the the cutting edge it will tend to seem like a more dull knife than if it was thinner, if it's too thin it will tend to dull or chip out faster.

It's a grea first knife, heck it'd be a great 20th knife! :D

Vern,
I agree with Will, the primary grind needs to extend through the tip. Also, looks like your bevels COULD come up a little higher towards the spine. One more thing, from an aesthetic poin tof view, I do not like sharp corners like you have @ the finger groove, a more rounded transition to the ricasso I think would be more pleasing to the eye.
Just my opinion, and it still loks good as is.

Looks good Vern. You might try rounding the transition from the handle to the blade drop a little, About the radius of a dime to that of a nickel should look more pleasing. It will be easier to sand and finish, too. You could even make the whole transition a gentle curve (that's what I do).
