Some Fixed Blade Advice

I say chekc the makers on the forum first. Great products for great prices. Next up Id check the Rat cutlery line. The rc 6 would probably suit you best. Next up Id look at bark river. Last, Id suggest Busse. Busse are very nice, but they are expensive--ithink they are worth it though
 
Looks like it is an RC6 for me...now I just have to find the best price.

Thanks for the advice guys it definitely helped...also, the RC6 is replacing the Gerber Camping Knife that I broke in half while batoning...30 dollar paper weight in a land fill now.
 
Falkniven A1 or BRKT Bravo 1 in SS (yes, BRKT does make SS knives)

Their is also a KaBar in D2 which is a semi-SS although I don't care for the serrations
