Here are a couple designs I have in the works, let me know what you guys think.
They will made from 3/8" 4140.

The big ones are 16 x 8" , and the little guy is 11 x 5.25" .

Is there a particular function to the flat beard section?

The beard adds length to the cutting edge, without adding a lot of weight. The flat beard is stronger than a sharp one, and is more traditional. Oh yeah, and it looks cool!

I'm really liking the bearded one with the spike on the back, screams "Tacticool"

They look real nice Ben. The .375 thickness is good for a one piece hawk.

Thanks guys, I can't wait to get started on these!

I'm inclined to say that I like the Pole Hawk!!! What ever I really like the design. Glad to see a Bearded Hawk no matter Spike or Pole. WELL DONE!!! Are you thinking Micarta or G-10 for haft scales?

I'd say put a little more length on the one with the longer haft. That extra length is invaluable for chopping power.

 This, also on the hammer poll one make the poll just a little longer maybe, for better counter balance. Other than that these look pretty great.

Thanks guys, these are just a starting point. I will do different ones in different shapes and sizes in the future.
And yes, will offer them cheaper without scales, so you guys cord wrap or whatever yourself.

So I am making some more progress on these. These are the test pieces I had cut out, to check the feel and measurements, before go for the good steel.
They feel awesome at this point. I have the steel for the axes (4140) and am just waiting on them to be cut, then the sparks can start flying!

The "Skeg axe"

The "Peregrine"

Thanks guys!
I am planning on doing many different versions of these. Sharp beards, micarta, curly maple, G10, handle carving, wrapped handles.......I would prefer to do most of them as custom orders, so people can tell me exactly how they want one.
