So if I strip mine it will look the same? I am referring to the level of finish to the steel not necessarily the look(sheen) of the finish.

if i had known this was possible, i would have had all my new blades made with this finish

now i'm committed to the black coating with Blue/Black G10... there's no turning back now!

Or.... just send the black coated blades in for CF treatment and problem solved.

Fantastic looking knife! I hope my cg tg is as good looking naked as yours is! Mine will eventually be stripped but the sage coating is proving impossible to shake -- and I'm not exactly coddling it! Check out my (ab)user thread!

My desert sage / tan canvas order was a few weeks in the que. Called lexi today and switched to the uncoated. I just love to see the steel! 4-8 weeks here we go.

The CF is just uncoated so you see the dimpling on the bar stock and machining. Thats it

This will be my first Busse and actually the first knife i've actually ever spent money on - I think i could have done worse! I suspect it will tend to be a shelf queen for some time. Were i going to really beat on it out of the gate i would go coated, but i love the look of that bare steel!

CF will show a lot less wear than a coated blade. Use it!

I think I'm gonna keep the Tanker grey finish I originally went with. I love the competition finish and have been contemplating calling up and changing it but I also love how knives look when the finish starts to wear off from use. Besides I figure I can always send it in to Garth or remove the finish myself later on if I ever decide to.
