Since when? Is this something that Sparks, Cougar, et al have said? I am willing to abide by it if they say so, but this is the first that I've heard about it on the HI forum. Very curious, indeed.

I heard this also. Links to the other forum not acceptable. That's a BF management perogative and until I hear otherwise I think we should err on the side of the question that says no go.

I took the link out of your post; people can find the discussion without the direct pipeline.

I don't believe BF approves of links to that site. If I'm wrong you can whip me with a noodle made to resemble a khukuri.

I appreciate discussions of kukris wherever they are. If people are interested, they can still find it.

I know Rusty once told me that linking to Ramanon was OK, but I have heard several times that linking to KF is not. I didn't know about USN cause I'm not on there.

I guess it's their rule and I respect their decision, but I personally think it's silly. If a link stimulates discussion I'd say go for it since that is what these forums are all about.

The reason for not linking to some forums is because of the cross forum flame wars that such links have generated in the past.
I doubt that the link Russ posted would have led to such but such innocent links have done so in the past.
It's impossible to tell which links would cause a problem so the consensus is -no links- at all. Saves us all a lot of hard feelings and problems.
