Now I am hungry....They are ofcourse protected and are only allowed to be shot via a control licence...
You can buy it in the supermarkets too, and every restaurant sells it.
What does it take to get a 'roo license? Can an unruly yank like me get one? What would it cost me? What is the average range for a 'roo kill? Do I bring a rife or my bow? How difficult is it going to be to get the meat through customs?
Man, I think that you have to be a 'primary producer' or 'professional shooter' to be able to get a kull licence. I have practiced stalking up to roos many times as I think that they are a lot keener in sense than most deer and are great practice for ground stalking with a bow, I have got to 10 yards once, but 60-100 yards is more commen.
Meat through customs - not sure but I would say a no goer...
If you can get it locally, I really do suggest that you try it! It really is fantastic.
Or, when 'Team Rat' comes to Oz for business )), jump on the plane and I will feed you some right off the barbie! Roo with blackberry sauce all over it, hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
Thanks for the reply Guy. Well that invite sounds like a winner and while I really enjoy getting my own groceries, I'm sure I can make do with the pre-BBQ'd version.
