Some kits I carry

Thanks guys. :)

I am thinking about closing my blog and transferring what I want to article versions or putting a blog on the website, I don't know what to do with that.

Many people in here, Tony and Mistwalker being two - and you, "DH1," could start your own websites as well. It's only about twice as difficult as posting the threads you do in here with pictures.

When I dig out from a few problems I am currently having, I might recruit a few people in here to submit their kits and then whip them into article form and put them up there on the website. Sort of like a potpourri of what people can come up with because everyone has their own twist and their own idea of what is essential or snivel gear or whatever else they come up with.

Even the idea of what constitutes "snivel" gear can be a debate in some circles. Some people think Imodium is "snivel" gear, I guess they've never had the rooty-too-scoots in the woods, it sucks, to say the least.

I'd be game for an article of two if you get the site going again. Speaking of Imodium, that's one of the medications I need for that little pocket kit. Definately not a "luxury" item IMO.

Well, you have read some of my stuff. Some of it gets pretty involved, to say the least. I had quite a few articles ready to go and had a quick series of crashes. I had a backup computer, this is going back three years ago now, and it was a corporate throwaway and it was professionally cleaned and that was my spare and it went to shit when I had to download service pack 666 for the damned thing. :D

So, I lost a lot of stuff and got fairly pissed off and took a break, it's been longer than I planned. The last time I updated the site was the links and that was August or September of 2009...and another PC bit the dirt. It just went into the blue screen of death (B-SOD) and I could not recover anything. I saved a lot of stuff but it left a bad taste.

So, now I think it is time to do good things in the quiet of winter. :)

You three guys have a lot of talent, skill and knowledge. It's a shame to see it get pushed to the back of the rack over time. It's just the nature of the forum format.

I'm currently working on a survival based website. It will mostly be informational, covering the major topics. I just recently secured hosting but it will be a while before I upload any pages.

Everyone here is more than welcome to be a contributor if they want. PM or email if interested.

I plan to have pages covering, water, fire, shelter, food and survival kits. Hell I might add a knife page:D

Since I live in New England, the focus is going to be more directed at surviving in the Northeastern US, so I probably wont be covering how to make a bowl from banana palm leaves.
