Fourth Lot

Lot of Four Older Collectible Schrade Walden & Ulster Knives

Knife #1 - Older Pre-1974 SCHRADE WALDEN stamped rope knife, pattern 163 at 4-1/4” closed. Composition imitation wood handles, no cracks. Lightly used, full blade with patina, strong snap no wobble.

Knife #2 - Schrade Walden, 1950’s era knife, 3-7/8” closed large split backspring whittler. Blades are all full with patina and stains, show light sharpening and use. Great snap on the large clip and the coping, no wobble. The small clip blade has no snap due to a worn tang. The very tip (corner) of the coping blade is chipped. The handles are dark wood, no cracks or chips. A great robust old whittler!

Knife #3 - 3-7/8” round bolstered muskrat. SCHRADE WALDEN NY USA, 1950’s to 60’s era. Minty blades, never sharpened, IMPROVED MUSKRAT etch. Great snap, no wobble. Single backspring design.

The front Peachseed handle is black composition (one small chip out at the lower main pin). The back handle appears to be genuine Peachseed brown bone, no cracks. Unusual, I have never seen an example with both handle types. Likely a transition knife made when bone handles were being phased out.

Knife #4 – Older made in USA, ULSTER Fisherman’s Knife FISHERMANS PRIDE. 5” long closed, toothpick style fish knife, ULSTER USA 208 SS. The main blade has the etch FISHERMAN’S PRIDE, faint but all legible. Lightly used, very lightly sharpened, minor scratches at the edge, great snap. Yellow composition handles no cracks, handles are scuffed up a bit and show minor shrinkage.
