I cut three more like your one off this weekend. Thicker steel. (5/32)

Really a nice pattern. Can't wait to finish em.

Those are sweet knives. I was hopin you would start doin more of that pattern.

cant wait to see what ya come up with!

Great job on those Andy! Your handles are by far the best feeling handles in the business IMHO! They just begged to be handled and fill the hand well! I can't explain it but I get a totaly different experience using your knife then all my others... a piece of functioning art! Plus those tooled leather sheaths you make rock!

Thanks DD. I loose $ hand over fist on the sheaths though. Once I get the JRE's in I'm going to offer my handmade sheaths as an option, but not as a cheap optiion.

Thats a great idea. Hey, and JRE makes an outstanding sheath so its a win win however people decide to go:thumbup:

I made a foot of that thong hole tubing with brass, and a foot with SS. I'm gong to start using it a lot again.

Not cheap stuff either after you order the three tubes!

I've always thought your sheaths were quietly the best value under the radar! No doubt they should be a premium!

Thanks bro. They really almost killed my knifemaking. It takes as long to build one as a knife almost.

Very nice Andy. While I love the pretty woods and all that, the thing I really like is the handle swell (perpendicular to the blade edge). It is something that is so comfortable to use, buy highly ignored by many.

J and Tony,
You guys are getting some crazy good looking knives there from a great maker. Please share some pics with us that don't have any to play with. Good job Andy.

HD helped me learn this, and deserves the credit. Many handles are too thin, and too square. What I've learned with HD's help is that you fine control a knife in two zones in your hand. For fine cuts, the front of your grip, your pointer and thumb, control the knife from the front and back spine while your pinky and ring finger pinch the sides of the scales onto your palm. My handles are designed to allow this to happen comfortably. This takes a while for me to accomplish. How much time does it take to round the corners of your handle? 5 minutes? My handles take considerable time to shape. So you can do fine cutting comfortably, with no choil, for an extended period of time. You also know right where the knife is in your hand by the feel of it. And for strong powercutting, the edge is right at the handle and that swell is great when you have to bear down.

I've never tried to describe this, so it may sound like nonsense...:o

Ya know, I think maybe I will do a small passaround after I play with it a little bit. I think if ya havent had a chance to handle one of Andys blades, you definatly should.

Any interest?
