Here is some knives that I was working on recently. Any criticism or advise is more than welcome. thanks:)

WIP mesquite bowie.

10.5 inch hand forged. the blade almost 1/4 thick with mesquite scales.
steel is from a leaf spring. (I know that I should be using known steel.)
there is a chance for stress fractures near the hole from when it was a leaf spring but it seamed fine when I tested it.

frontier cleaver.

A small chopper for when I am to lazy to get an axe. 4.5 inch blade almost 5/16 thick.
Oak scales with brass pins and lanyard holes, etched blade. steel is from a leaf spring

first hunter.

swept point hunter forged from 1084 with black walnut scales and brass pins / lanyard hole.

That bowie is a little tall for my tastes, but I really like the frontier cleaver! Have you ever tried cleaning up the steel with a grinder after making the blades? (Don't mind me, I'm a perfectionist, spent hours by hand mirror polishing a knife last week)

Might try and reduce some bulk and/or contour the handle/scales so it is more comfortable in hand.

On the frontier cleaver I was at 400 grit when I noticed that the tang was a touch off so I went to reforge it and got some deep scratches in the blade and decided I was going to etch it instead.

thanks JT I was thinking of rounding the edges on the hunters handle. I need to think about what i want to do to the cleaver it wants to slide out of the hand if im not careful.

I think you would benefit from a copy of Tim Lively's video "knife making unplugged." It would fit your style and really help out with your technique.
