Do you realize that I sent tony an email just minutes after he posted?? Just because you post does not mean that you were first in line.

In response to Festeruga's post;

Poolhustler contacted me within minutes of my posting the thread, as did Atomforce about the Lahar. I'm all about fairness, its 1st come 1st served.....I also said at the top of my thread to contact me through private message or email and at the bottom I state again to contact me if your interested, or post "I'll take it". I didn't say that the 1st person to post "I'll take it" on this thread gets it. The reason I don't subscribe to that way of doing things is because you basically have to sit and watch your thread and keep refreshing the screen to see if anybody has posted a reply at the bottom....whereas if a member sends either a PM or email they both come through as emails, which flash up on my screen regardless of what I'm doing, I even get a "ding ding" & "buzz buzz" vibration from my phone, alerting me to the communique.
Therefore it's far more efficient to do it that way...........even so, I will still check back on the thread anyway and rest assured if you were 1st in line you would have been treated as such. I even responded to your message, I apologised and explained that Poolhustler was 1st in line but if he passed, you were up next.
I don't know what more I could have possibly done to appease you, other than tell Poolhustler "your quick reaction to my post is inconsequential, I operate without civility, if you want fairness take your expeditious reflexes elsewhere, Festeruga comes first".
Some people take this stuff far too seriously, it's meant to be fun and put smiles on our faces. That's why we gather here and form this community of knife lovers from around the world. You see something for sale and you go for it, hoping to be the one to get it....sometimes you win, sometimes you lose (we've all been there). If it wasn't meant to be...No Big Deal, we move on to the next one....that's what the honourable members among us do. The dishonourable few do the opposite, moan & complain & achieve absolutely nothing.

Thanks to everybody who showed interest in my sale, successful or not;-)

poolhustler:

Remember this was the seller who, only a short time ago, posted about 10-12 knives for sale. After he reached a certain dollar amount in sales, he withdrew all the remainder of the knives that "he" had not closed a sale on. I had made an "I'll take it" on one of his knives, and over a day passed, when he said he was withdrawing all of the knives "he" had not closed a sale on. I always thought that when a buyer said "I'll take it" the sale was consummated. But apparently not with Tony! I wouldn't bid on anything he puts on the Forum! I'm surprised he's still allowed to post on the Forum after his last fiasco...and now this situation with you. I can feel for you, because I know exactly how you feel! Been there and done that.

If Festeruga wants the Spec Bump that bad, I will sell it to him for exactly what I paid for it plus the shipping.

How's that for fair?

Sellers withdraw sales all the time........I posted some knives for sale and decided to withdraw the rest at that time. I've checked the rules and it doesn't say anywhere that "I'll take it" consummates a deal or that a seller must sell to the first person who posts a reply on the thread.
Obviously I'm new to selling and its a learning process.......From what I've observed while watching other sales threads is that sellers set their own guidelines and there are lots of different ways of doing deals.
I think its a bit unfair of you to come onto my sales thread and post your comments, calling my sales a fiasco and basically saying I should be banned. I've actually checked the rules and this is what it says about your behaviour & posting comments on a sales thread;

5) Do not post in a person's thread unless you have an implicit interest in buying the item. Posts like, "Nice knife!", "Why is the price so high/low?", "I wish I had funds" are not allowed. This means absolutely no commentary or feedback in someone's sales thread. Seriously, if you stomp on someone's ad, your account can and will be locked. The only exception to this is in the Knife Makers Market areas (if the maker/craftsman requests and welcomes feedback)
