I agree. IMO it's the best looking folding tanto... ever!!! When it first came out I did not have a lot of spare cash, so I had to decide between the the folder and the Lum fixed blade tanto from Spyderco. I decided on the fixed blade and it is a little beauty and the star of my collection, but I still keep hoping to find a clean folder for less than 200% MSRP.I'd be very happy to see the old Lum Tanto re-released. That's a beautiful knife- one of the very few tanto-tipped knives that I actually like.
I've kind of wondered it that might be the reason. It seems evident from the bidding wars for Lum folding tantos on the auction sites that there is a definite demand for the knife. Still, if they can re-release the Chinese folder, why not the Tanto? I would think Spyderco could pre-sell a whole production run with no problem (You can put my name down for two!)I'd be a little bit surprised if it ever happened though, as Mr. Lum is no longer around to give his blessing.
The last comment that Sal made regarding my inquiry about a possible sprint run of the Lum folding tanto (c46), he mentioned something along the lines of it being distasteful to put out a Lum tanto folder since "another" competing company also has a current Lum tanto.I agree. Have to agree with that, there is no comparison. It totally lacks the grace and beauty of the Spyderco version.Plus, that Lum is a folding pry-bar, not a folding knife:barf:
when I saw it it looked so small. this was what I expected; small and beautiful but then I pulled out the blade and HOLY **** its massive. I have said before the benchmade 710 getting that big blade into that handle is a miracle of the universe but thats nothing compared to this guy.
Some one post picks please !!! i dont get mine untill next week.
UR KILLIN ME HERE PEOPLE , how about some in the hand shots and some comparison shots etc etc.
