Some new clip bending dies.

I have a project coming up that uses a different clip than what I usually use.
Since a bender has been on my mind a while, and Les George recently showed off his fancy new bender, I decided to make one.

Besides, I need to learn how to use my new machine, and I got fixated.

Took me 2 tries to dial in what I need, but this should bend 20 clips for me...

Later, I'll make a universal version or 2 out of steel.

Not an actual clip in the picture, just some random material that was laying around.
This particular bender will make clips with 2 screws that are in line with the clip.

Are you heating these ? I'm guessing not?

How much overbend do you have to do to get it the way you wanted?

Nice bender.

My daughter has the same hello kitty fan.

No heat, just put it in the arbor press and go.

I don't really know how much over bend I did, since there are 3 bends.
However, in the die, the plane that will be where the screws go would intersect with the very tip of the clip if it was carried out that far.
Make sense?

I have to wait a few days for clip blanks to arrive so I can properly test it too.
