Very, nice work, I really like friction folders!! I was wondering if you put washers/bushings between the blade and the handle?

Dave, how in the world do you get the washers in there and line all of the holes up with the pins??? I guess that it would be pretty easy if you split the handle material down the center and add a spacer. but it looks to me like you just cut the slot for the blade like I do..I haven't had any luck getting washers in my f/folders.. Thanks.....

Louis, I make both styles, but yes these are just slotted.Take a flat bladed screwdriver a little bigger than the slot and insert it behind the pivot and rotate it. it spreads the antler just enough. Put the pin in one side thorough the washer and blade then flip the knife over and install the second washer. Then remove the screwdriver and finish assembly. I hope this helps. Dave:)

Those are sweet. You should do a tutorial. By the way how much do you sell them for. I have tax money burning a hole in my pocket.

Dave,
What table will you be at ? I'm headed up to Sandy's today, I'll study the DC he has . I really like your FF.

Thanks guys, these are always a nice diversion and they sell well.

Mike, the sheaths have a standard belt loop.

John, no table for me.Most of my stuff will be at BG Customs. They are a dealer. Two of these are already sold and will be delivered at Blade.Say hi to Pop's for me.Hope to see you there. Dave:)

Thanks, I hope I might have changed your opinion of Friction Folders. They really are neat little knives to use. Dave:)

Nice. I do like them. Friction folders are da bomb!

Thank you. Mike, there are a couple out there already and my buddy Chuck Burrows did an excellent DVD on sheathmaking that includes some inlay work. I have been thinking of doing a tutorial on basketweave lacing that I do, because I get asked alot about it.
These inlayed folder sheaths use two layers of 4-5 oz shoulder.I use 7-8 oz for most fixed blades and 9-10oz for the bigger stuff. All veg-tan and for inlays name it, if it can be tanned it's game.Dave:)
Here's a couple of new ones
