Some new HK too!

HK Axis or Stryker??? Hmmmmm?

Decisions, decisions.

As previously stated, BOTH!

Dont think it was mentioned, but i admit i also have a craving for the new fixed blade from em, the 14147. While i wish it was a little bigger, it looks great and should be a nice price..

Just got the 14716!!!!! Here are some pictures and size comparisons with a Ritter mini. 14715 and a 531. It's like a tiny little tank.

That's handle thickness. Blade thickness on 14715 is .146", but can't find a spec for 14716. Curious if it's the same.
Oops sorry! No they are not the same thickness, I will take a picture when i have a chance. With a ruler the min's spine is 3mm at the thickest and 2mm the rest of the blade. The full sized is 4mm at the thickest part and 3mm the rest of the blade.

The handle of the HK14716 seems to be quite short, does it offer a (relatively) good grip?
I am a little bit sad it doesn't accept lanyard, it may have been a good way to improve the grip

I like the grip. I have average hands and my index rides in the divot and my pinky rests on the very end of the handle. So I can say big enough, but you can tell it is a small knife.

The HK has a better overall shape than the Griptillian to me. S30V or M390 and it would be a done deal for me. Can pull the trigger on D2 when the BM485 is soon to be out.

I would say the opposite, the Griptilian handle is more hard-use, easy on the hands. The 14716's handles have a lot more angles and edges that would wear into your hand after extended use. Don't get me wrong I love both!

Personally I am not convinced I need better steel than s30v, not even sure I will like some of these newer steels just because everyone else seems to be sold.
I have a m390 Ritter so I guess time will tell.

I had blades in s30v and m390 steels and I feel the m390 much better than the s30v
Don't know how d2 compare to both but IMHO if you are looking for a better steel than s30v , you will love m390

The HK Mini maximizes blade-to-handle ratio, and is all in all a robust and overbuilt pocket folder. I'm liking mine so far! I'll let pictures do the talking.

I have the 14715 already, but it's a bigger knife. You are really tempting me with the 14716 Mini HK axis!

Awe Crap! The HK Axis is the only BM that I own, and I really like it. Now I gotta get the Mini for those smaller pocket days (dress slacks). And I really like the sand.

After looking at the pictures of the mini-Grip and the mini-HK, the pivot, Axis bar, and stop pin all seem to be the same. So... are the blade thicknesses the same, and if so, are they interchangeable?

Ordered a Benchmade H&K 14716BK from a shop that sells cutlery for a killer price of $87 shipped (coupon code nutnfancy). 2.88" blade of D2 and weighs just 2.88 ounces.
