Hi every body, Well it has been raining here in south east Nebraska
so it is a good time for making knives :D since I can not get out and
cut trees. These pics are of a knife for guy who wanted to
have his knife made up like this. A very basic design it is made of
0-1 and has a 5" blade and is 7/64 inchs thick and is 1" wide orange
G-10 handle with white liners. This guy gets most of his food from the
wild (ie hunting and fishing) or his garden. That song that says a
country boy can survive, was being sung for this guy. He has a
1970s four wheel drive pickup, a shot gun, 3006 rifle, and a 22 rifle
a couple of hound dogs and a girl friend that is just as outdoorsy as
he is. She 3/4 apache and hunts, fishes, and was taught about
gathering wild plants and mushrooms from her mom. They
live on few acres out in the sticks. When this fellow saw my
orange handle knife and found out that I made it he asked if
I would make him a knife. I said sure he wanted a thin blade
and liked the thought of a orange handle easyer to see he
said.( I liked his thinking:D ) I said draw it up and he did.
This is what he wanted

What do you think?

This pic did not turn out as well as I would have liked.

On to some other knives that were made up I put the scales on the
knife that I called a personal survival kit knife (PSKK) After I posted
some forum members comented that they would like to see a 4"
vertion so I made one up and just have to put the scales on
tonight. The 4" vertion is allready taken going to one of
our BF forum members along with a Pathfinder :D

These two are made up in 0-1 steel with orange handles
with white liners and silver nickel tubing.
Like I said the 4" knife does not have the handles pinned
on yet I just set them on the handle so you could see what
they looked like.

Very nice! It is good to know it is going to someone who will use it everyday. I'm sure others here will be pleasently surprised!

Great knives. I really like the simple design of the top one. Nice work.

Those are some great looking blades! How long have you been making knives?

HI all thanks for the kind comments again since I am new to making
knives.

Spooky pistolero funny you should say that. After I posted these pics
I had a call from a lady who wants a knife made to here specs, it
sounds interesting to me. For years she has used a scrade fixed
blade but she wants to enhance it some. She hunts and proscees
her own deer every year. Her thoughts sound interesting.
I will post some pics when it is done.

Bear the dog yes I need to have some one take some better pics.

Did you get my E-mail response?:D

Snow I have been making knives for a month or so. I have
been able to do this Thanks to knife maker Dave Sloan.
He lives in Diller NE. just 5 miles from me. Dave and I met
about 3 months back. He has helped me get my shop up
running.

Thanks for the comments all take care,

Bryan

I really like the knife in the first pic too. Something like that with a 2.5" - 3" blade would make a nice EDC/utility.

I like that top one!

I hope you're wearing a mask when you're sanding that G-10.

Hi all,

Rupestris Yea a 3" inch blade is a petty good edc. The pskk
is just under 3". And with a ornage handle makes it look a
little cute and Law enforcement friendly.

Tim Thanks I will do my best to keep them comming I am
getting my list to order more steel and handles to make up
a batch of them. My goal is to make user friendly good
quality knives at a decent price for the average working
families income. These pskk (personal survival kit knives )
will cost about 65 dollars plus shipping and handling.
For the one in the pic for matierial and grinding belts and
leather for a sheath and electric, steel, all that goes into
making a little knife like this is about 30 dollars and then
it took about 3 to 3.5 hours off handleing time of the knife
from start to finish. I charge 10 dollars for my labor IF
I ever get famous I might give my self a raise and
charge 12 dollars an hour. :D

Ron 53 no it is not spoken for. If you want it it is yours
shoot me a e-mail at tacklebreeden@yahoo .com.
I will give you more details and get some more pics to
if you want.

I just made a sheath for it and will post a pic later on
today.

Fiddleback thanks for the the heads up and conern about
G-10. I do use a resperator and have dust and and spark
collector that is just awsome.

Take care all,

Bryan

Bryan,

I just emailed you but it was returned by the mail system. I will gladly take one of those PSK knives off your hands when you do another batch.
