Busse Kin Family I had the recent privilege of meeting a leather bender over on one of the Blade Forum Sub-forums, you know where you also find Leatherman, Chuddy Bear, Rainwalker and others hanging out when there not here. The man’s Blade handle is Robber58. I contacted him cause I saw a sheath he made that kinda caught my eye.

Instead of me getting all long and drawn out let me show some pics of the sheath he made me for one of my BOSS JACK's. The craftsmanship, fit/finish is absolutely outstanding. The knife can be drawn without any drag and yet it locks into the sheath like a vault. Attention to detail is something he take a lot of pride at, and it shows.

Oh and I should mention that the sheath is made to be worn as a Crossdraw and worn at 25 degrees.

So here are the pics.

Unique knife lock made from Carbon Fiber

Now this pic speaks to the meat and potatoes of the system. During the construction he sent this pic to me showing the lay out and lock in place. It says a lot all by itself!!!

That is very very nice.
Great idea on the locking thing.

Thanks all!!! I read a response from Chuddy Bear and he had also played around sometime back with a lock mech made a little different but interesting none the less. I like innovation whether it's leather or kydex. Seen some pretty sweet ideas turned out by you Dave (Buy Brown).

The lock on this sheath really locks the blade and Robber58 put the glued leather tab in on the Carbon Fiber as a cushion and buffer. The entire sheath is lined and then wet wrapped around the knife. He took great care with my knife knowing that is is not classified as stainless steel. Just some of that attention to detail I spoke of.

Thanks again for the comments cause I know he is going to read everyones opinions pro and con. I just don't have a CON:D

That is what I would call a class act.
Great design and very clean, thanks for sharing.

Thats sweet. I've never seen a leather sheath with a lock on it like that.

Pretty neat

Outstanding work! :) Innovation and something truly unique is not easy to do these days, I love it when someone seriously thinks outside the box.

Coming from a MASTER, that's cool in itself!!! Thanks for the comments Dwayne I'm sure Randy will be very pleased;)

Very impressive to say the least! Does the lock mechanism automatically move out of the way when you draw the knife or do you have to manually pull it back?
