Flat ground VG10 is just fine with me. Plain edge is my preference as well other than on the civvie and Police. Even if they cost the same I would prefer VG10 to D2.
Possibly I would even prefer it to S30V because even though VG10 does not hold an edge as long it seems to take a sharper one.
We can probably make an educated guess as to steel if we now the country of origin.

No plans at this tme for any G-10 in E4/De other than the foliage green offering in plain edge.
Please try to keep in mind that any new model requires a great deal of time and money to create. Our plan for the '08 year (NOV '07 - DEC '08) calls for quite a few new models. Most take more than a year from design to production.
Some will be short run sprints, some will be limited production, some will be retrictred,. Some oof the designs are carry-overs from last year. While all models do not do not appeal to all, there are many markets we try to serve.

In the last year we managed to get about 25 new models into the marketplace.
Please try to keep in mind that any new model requires a great deal of time and money to create. Our plan for the '08 year (NOV '07 - DEC '08) calls for quite a few new models. Most take more than a year from design to production.

That Catbyrd looks like a great workhorse. I really like the steel, and the full flat grind on it should make for a nice cutter for minimal money. The G-10 Delicas and Enduras are real nice, but I already have a full flat ground ZDP Endura so those ones aren't a priority at this time.
