Well my wife has been busting my chops about spending time together as most of my days off of work are spent fishing during the spring. She isn't the outdoors type unless there is a beach involved and a hotel close by:thumbdn:
So I took her and my daughter Lake George, for a long weekend and let her plan all the activities. Mostly touristy places we visited but its still beautiful. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Went and visited some caves, it was another touristy spot with all the cool parts roped off though. But a step in the right direction for my wife as she is the one that wanted to go:thumbup: I tought I would be stuck at craft fares and theme parks every day:eek:

Super cute daughter you have there. Doesn't look like such a bad time at all. Caves look great, I espescially like that shot with the liitle depression pools.

Hey tonym,

Listen to your wife. Make more time for them. I know it's hard when a person has a lot of interests besides the family, but do it. Otherwise, you may grow old and gray and wishing you did. Trust me on that.

Another thing to consider, even theme parks and craft shows have wild plants, you can learn to identify, growing around them, so you can combine your interests with hers. (I know it's a bit of a reach but you don't have to be in virgin wilderness to be learning - a ditch in front of the house will do) You might be surprised at what you discover.

Ok, preaching over.:o

BTW, nice pictures/ nice looking family.

Thanks guys!

Doc thanks for the sound advice, I have always put my family b4 everything, I just like my spring time bass season.

Tony - Awesome pics, great looking family! I live about an hour from there, there is a lot of nice landscape around the area...

Thanks for sharing the photos.
Keep encouraging your daughter's curiosity about nature and the outdoors. Use her interests as your guide to what to teach next.
The time I spent leaning about nature with my dad have stayed with me throughout my life.
