Some of my knives

How did you mix that acrylic (I assume?) for the covers? Very cool swirl, sir!
It took several attempts to make those slabs. I've played with epoxy on and off had not so good results those are what I could salvage from a larger project. You don't really mix but sorta pour the colors into the base color and with a Popsicle stick drag through it lightly to create the pattern. I make a form and work with it. Then use a table saw to trim to size.
If I had the time to play with it more I think I could get good at it I'll continue when I do to play and hopefully get better results consistently.
They sell everything on Amazon including pigments to do it.
I use a 1" thick form and trim/grind from there usually not getting a good pattern but sometimes I do.
So I guess to explain I pour my base color then leave room for the swirl color use a Popsicle stick and lightly drag through it pulling the swirl through getting that pattern.

I picked-up one these after seeing yours, Wayne!
I think you'll like it mine took a little while I adjusted the pivot accordingly let it break in they just get better with time.
I use knife pivot lube the original in it and have actually been able to tighten up the pivot over time and it's all but kinda smoothed out and gotten faster..
