Wow! Nice. That first is a very beautiful knife.

So, if I come to Australia will you teach me a thing or two? ;)

I'm sure you're father will cherish that gift. I gave my first knife to my father too. Mine was fairly well executed, but nothing close to your first.

Thanks Mike

Thanks guys, I haven't been at it long so its nice to get a bit of feedback. Some of the makers on here make some inspiring knives. I have learnt a lot on here and learn something with every blade.

Mac ! Only 12 months ?? Phhhhhhhhhhh ! That's good stuff !

Your choice of materials, especially the steel, for the knives you're making is spot on.
Have you used any AEBL or 3V yet ? Both make really fine kitchen cutlery, in their ability to maintain a very fine edge geometry.

Whatever the case - keep on do'in what you're do'in.

Great work. I would push the Rc on the 15N20 to Rc62. I have had NO chipping at Rc62, even at 0.007 behind the edge. Clean finishing!

Boy, they sure look great and I'll just bet they work super too !!! Your Dad may decide to just keep it as a collector. Don't be surprised if that happens. Frank

Thanks David. I have some AEB-L coming next I think I may use it as my go to stainless if all goes well. The 440c is just a bit soft for my liking and to chippy in the higher rockwell.

Yeah thanks. I didn't really know how far I could push the 15n20, couldn't find a lot of info on it, so thank you for the information

Thanks Frank, Yeah I think dad has already done that, Mum said he wont let anyone use it.
