Some of the more unknown Bucks

Here is skyhorses pruning tool in red. Someone was selling a few of these on the bay for a short while. I think the idea on this
Snap-On must be for gasket and belt cutting.... Clam packs have been around for a good while........300

I'm throwing this one in here just because of the color combo. It looks like someone spilled Pepto Bismol (spelling??) on it. I wonder how long this color scheme will be offered?

The one he had were shears about the size of pliers and they had a belt sheath that had the Buck logo on it.

Dang,I went on ebay and saw it on a BIN and just as I was gonna pull the trigger. the auction was for the sheath only:(!It's the Buck model 720.:o

Here is a newer model we do not see on here very often. It was also one of my best Ebay scores at $2.35 with free shipping NIB.

760 Summit

I sort of like some of those little gadget knives. Especially those that have an anodized aluminum handle. That just gives them a hefty feel in the hand.

Here are a pair of knives that were short lived

Lightnings?

Edbeau beat me to it. Was looking for pics of the little 170 and its larger brother 175

I always thought these were sleepers far as small pocket liner lockers.

Smooth as alpha folders and easily operated one handed.

I regularly carry a 170 when not appropriate to carry a larger knife.

Probably a while, more and more women are hunting now. My daughter likes the pink camo.

I don't think this is the pruning tool. TLC usually refers to Tile, Linoliumn and Carpet. I believe this is a work knife for the carpet industry. The design of the hook blade is so the knife can be drawn to you for cutting while holding steady downward pressure

:o I like it myself. It gets alot of attention when I take it out around my Bud's. Not all positive attention (), but it is a conversation piece.

Here's another multi-tool, the X-Tract. Every blade and tool locks in place.

Here's one that's not often seen. The Quest (forerunner of the Zipper and the bottom one in the pictures). It was VERY short lived. The story is that CJ tried it and discovered that the original gut hook design was worthless and it was redesigned right away.

I remember that hunting trip. The Quest gut hook did not even pretend to work. As soon as we got back, CJ shut down production until we could design one that actually functioned and was not just a gimmick. In field testing the new design, guys kept saying that the new gut hook worked like a zipper so that name eventually stuck.
I checked the archives and it looks like 193 of the rubber handled Gutting blades were actually sold at the end of 1991. I dont know how many, if any, of those came back.
399 of the wood handled gutting blades were sold and again, we dont know how many came back to the factory.
I think its funny that they are listed in the 1991 catalog as "coming soon" yet they are not even named yet. Unless you consider "Rubber handle gutting blade and wooden handle gutting blade" names?

Interesting stories, especially the last one with the gut hook.

I like to show you a small and scarce one, the
Tiny titanium 565. It was introduced in 1990,
got the name Rainbow Titanium in '93 and went
in '98. Suggested retail price between 27 and 28
USD. I don't know how many were sold, but not too many
I think.

I bet there's a conversation alright, dude carry'n around a hot pink knife, hmmm.

I've actually got one of those Buck 752T "whittaker" models it's kind of a weird knife I never realy warmed up to mine mainly because it lacked a pocket clip.

So, I guess this thread is telling me I'm not sitting on a gold mine with these......
