Some of the Ones I Miss the Most!!! (Memory Lane)

Recluse in S35VN

There are so many knives in this thread that I would love to have but this one in s35vn is really something special.

These threads are always difficult for me. (tearing up :D) I've had the pleasure of following Andy's work since the beginning. Unfortunately I have let go more Fiddlebacks than I'd like to admit. I never realized during the early years that I was part of something so special. Sure I knew Andy was a great guy and I loved his knives but I was just getting into custom knives myself. I had no idea what I liked, what I wanted or what I preferred in a custom. I was in a financial position that forced me to "sell one to buy one". I don't have any pics of my "big 3" that I miss the most but I let go an early Hunter (my first :(), Nessmuk and Hiking Buddy that haunt me still.

I would love to see an "old school" run of Fiddlebacks. I see them like classic cars... cars today are much more efficient and advanced but who doesn't long for a 60's muscle car to cruise around town in! Unless you already own one that is. :D

It's funny how you sometimes wish that a knife you used to have would show up on the forum and make an appearance. Like seeing an old friend or something. I haven't seen or heard of the member who bought this recluse from me in a long time. Hope all is well with him.

Only one I wish I hadn't sold but I needed to at the time
CPM154 and cocobolo

Thought the one you missed was the brother of mine (20th July, 2012), but it seems that one was blackwood over natural canvas with a different pin layout.. Might be more then and maybe a mid tech version on the way to make you feel better :D
