Some Peanuts

This little stag Case peanut has been on backorder for a few months but was delivered today. This is one in the line of Prime XX Stag by Case. No Case shield on the handle to break up the look of the stag, a small logo is etched on one of the bolsters. I gotta say the stag is pretty nice on this one. Primary blade is not centered very well but there is no blade rub I can see.
The other three peanuts are roasted and salted. The fit and finish on these was a little rough but the taste was fine.

AWESOME looking Peanut. Congratulations! Where did you get it, and what is the blade steel?

Thanks for sharing!

Got it from Shepherd Hills. The blade steel is stainless. I haven't seen this peanut model in CV. Not just any stainless though, it's surgical stainless.:D

Very nice Thomason!....Though I do have weaknesses for both peanuts AND stag...let alone stag peanuts!

That one is particularly nice!

That's a nice one Rob! I may have to get on the list for that one myself.

darn ya Thomason!

You're going to make me break my vow of no more new knives!

Thats a VERY nice peanut!:D

Don't you mean "Tru-Sharp surgical" stainless? :D

Nice knife......

Very Nice Peanut, Love the Stag! Got me craving some more peanuts. The sharp and pointy ones.

That is a nice one. I saw these in the flyer that Shepherd Hills sent out but was not sure how the stag would look. Looks like they are doing a good job selecting and matching it!

I've enjoyed Thomason's posts in other subforums for some time now. He always managed to slip in a comment about Peanuts, but I never knew about what he was talking. Somehow I ended up here in Traditional and the first thread I see is this one. Those are cool. I might have to get one if I ever decide to go traditional.

Going Traditional can be very addictive, but lots of fun. Case in point,(pun intended) Rob's Peanut!.

Rob,
A super little slippy, that. And your photography is perfect. Very nicely done.

Beautiful stag, and that surgical steel looks perfect for dissecting those Georgia goobers.

A beautiful little slipjoint Rob!

And those roasted and salted ones appear to have excellent fit and finish, and should carry nicely in most any pocket. ;)

Why oh why is it that the little peanut lends itself to being beautified with nice scales like MOP, or stag, or amber bone?

Okay, I know I'm biased, but to me the peanut more than any other pattern becomes pocket jewlery faster than any other.

Well, the little birdie looking through the window and over my shoulder shouted "TWEET!" when he saw it. I told him, "You're darn right it is!"
