Some people should not take apart knives

I had a similar issue with an Endura Wave. I'd try contacting STR on these forums. He helped me out and can put together most knives.

SMI thank you for the links. I will give it another effort over the weekend when I can devout 1-2 hours.

AlexDaGreat,
If I fail, I may take you up on your offer but I have to find a way to repay you.

Thank you.

Some knives can be difficult in spite of the fact that they seem so simple.

I made this video of reassembling an Endura if anyone is interested (same process for the Delica). It is a bit long winded as I attempt to explain the parts, but it demonstrates the concept.

I got a pretty good deal on a trade for a Mcusta Tactical. I think because they took it apart and when they put it back together it wouldn't lock up without popping it open real hard. I fixed it though. :D

I am planning on taking apart my Rogue, cleaning, oiling it, and scotchbritting the blade. Any pointers? I've heard they a bit of a booger to take apart.

The Rogue isn't too tough once you get the hang of it. Make sure you disassemble it in the open position, and when you put it back together push down on the button and close the blade partially to hold all the piece in place, make sure you squeeze the blade to the handle so the spring doesn't pop loose, and then try putting the last handle on and tighten the pivot first so the spring doesn't pop out of it's slot.
It can be a pain the first time or two but it now takes me 5-10 minutes to disassemble and clean and it used to take at least 30+. The key is reassemblig it with the blade partially closed to hold in the pieces, that made a big difference for me and made it a lot easier.
And the back of the pivot on mine likes to pop out so I have to hold that too, the piece you anchor the pivot screw into.
It's easy as long as you stay calm and are good at disassembling regular knives. I'd rank it on a scale of 1-10, at about 6, AO knives being at about 4 and framelocks being 1-2.
