Blade is always an adventure, and sometimes just getting there is too...
I got to check out the current wares by some of my favorite knife makers and designers. The hardest part about Blade for me is having so many makers I like and want to support...but having and all too finite amount of money to work with
Justin Gingrich Designs, a couple of these are on the list...
Dpx Gear. I managed one of these I've been wanting for some time now, and a new shot glass...but more are on the list. I got a limited edition H.E.S.T. II fixed blade, number 69 of 200 I'm really digging the new design and the G-10 and the limited edition Zippo it comes with is pretty damned sweet too.
Fiddleback Forge, Andy and the Mrs....I love Andy's knives so always more of these on the list, but will have to wait a little while for those...I've been a Woodsman all my life so his Woodsman model is really calling to me...
Dylan Fletcher and the Mrs. I managed to pick up a newly designed Pocket Kilo Shown in the center of the shot of the table. I'm really digging his new tactical tanto...not remembering the model name.
I noticed that Mrs. Randall brought her knives...
The knives from the first day, along with the Spartan I already had. Not pictured are a few I picked up on the second and third days, a couple of BK-11s that I picked up at an awesome price, and a newly designed Kilo from Fletcher Knives. Man I really love Dylan's grinds and ergos. It was really cool getting to see my own knife design displayed on the TOPS table too. Seeing your own designs brought to life is always a high all its own.
Always great to see friends I don't get to see near often enough.
Mike Fuller and Leo Espinosa from TOPS Knives
Left to right Reuben Bolieu, Wendy Randall, Steven Dick, Jeff Randall, and Mike Perrin...some serious potential for trouble looking for a place to happen right here...
Rob and Kim Falkenhayn of Exotac. Kim picked up a new purse from Australia and made from a complete frog skin. Man they must really have some tough frogs down there because it feels like buckskin.
Mr. Wally Hayes
Jeff and Wendy Randall
Always something going on at the ESEE Booth
RYP and crew
I'm not sure what was up at the Becker booth, but I'm pretty sure whatever it was it was all Moose's fault...
Always great to see fellow writers that I never get to talk to other than in emails and on face book.
Payge McMahon being...well...being Payge...
