It can't be towed, right now, with the bent tounge. We were finding a trailer.
Rick Dunkerly begged and wheedled effectively, and the cannon is going to stay with him for a while. I have no idea what he had to trade, and would have liked to have made an offer myself. Rick said, when asked what he could trade, "well...I have a pretty good bird dog, and that's off the table... but pretty much everything else is possible. If Guy wants 4 horses and a trailer, I'll load them up. If he wants my wife, I'll miss her."
I am very proud to say that it was me in the video lighting that thing. I got to load the charge, fish the fuse down the barrel, load the ball, and fire it...twice. I don't think I will be able to get the smile off of my face for a while.
The coolness factor of seeing a bowling ball fly like that is way off the charts. The magnum charge was actually a pound and a half and our guesses were that it flew a mile and a half... or would have if the mountain in the distance hadn't gotten away. The cannon, all 3800 lbs or so, stood on the tounge of that trailer with both wheels off of the ground AFTER bending the tounge.
