I was gonna post these in my other thread, but today is a new day, so I thought id start a new thread.

Got out for a short 12mi cruise. Took the camera along so I could snap some more pics for you guys.

Here ya go!!

This about 6miles from my front door. Its a nice park with 2 lakes, and a 3d archery range. Its where I go shoot my bow, and also is very close to where we go Quail hunting...

Heres 1 of 2 Osage Orange trees, Some really nice clubs and walking sticks in there. Perfect time to harvest me one.

The other Osage tree.

Some pron. My RA Twisty, a california buckeye burl ferro rod, and my super cool, super sharp Koyote PSK I scored from my boy Mtnfolkmike.

The Koyote is a sweet knife. It rides in my PSK usually, but Im thinking of sewing a sheath on my armguard for an archery knife. Does anyone else have one? How are you cord wrapping yours?

There are several little side trails that split off the Katy. They are short (less then a mile) but some pretty fun rides, especially when they are muddy. :D

Around the bend is the trail head, its about 3 blocks from my front door.

Thanks for lookin!!!

Great pics. I like the size of that 'lil Koyote. As I am braid challenged, one little trick that Jimi Wade taught me was to use a little bit of super glue. You simply fold the first line and wrap on top of the end piece and when you get to the end of your wrap, Just touch a dot of super glue on the other end of the flamed cord and it will fast to the tang. Give a couple of super glue dots to the side/tange of the last cord and you are good to go. The great thing about this is that it is secure and waterproof. However, you can quite easily break the seal if you need the cord or want to re-wrap it.

I'm just waiting for my orange paracord to come in from KSF and will be re-wrapping my Wade necker with it.

Man that RA Twisty is BAD ASS!!!

I just got my Surefire L4 back from Milkyspit!!! Can't wait to get home and drop some batteries in her!!!

Andy you aint kiddin. I absolutely LOVE it. One of the coolest lights ever IMO. 3 brightness levels that you can program to however bright you want em. It goes everywhere with me. :o The lanyard I put on it came off an umbrella. :D hahaha...

The L4 is a sweet light. Why was it gone?

I know! No more privacy on the space station now....

Man... if I had a great rail-to-trail conversion like that outside my door, I'd probably be twenty pounds lighter! :p

The spring weather here is not cooperating. I've been on one 15-mile after-work ride on my cyclocross bike (Bianchi Axis) so far this season. I'm off today but it's cold, rainy and windy. :grumpy:

I did get to sneak outside and play with my new Busse SARsquatch, though. It's a winner!

glad you're liking that little Koyote PSK knife... the other one that i have is a tad bigger and with all of Christof's work, it's crazy sharp.... it rides on a shelf above my work bench and see's a lot of use...:)

Dude I am looking forward to doin some cruisin out there. I told Tina that I absolutely CAN NOT go out there w/o hitin at least one trail on a bike. You know what Im sayin. ;) Its like goin to mtn bike mecca.

That Koyote is too cool. I love his stuff man. Its really primal looking. How much bigger is your PSK?

Im thinkin of contactin him for a super size PSK like this one.

Glad youre gettin out in the weather man. Im really enjoyin it here when its been nice.

I didn't take any when I was outside between rain showers, but I did take a Busse family group photo....

(For you non-Busse kind of guys, the SARsquatch is the second from the top)

And here's my much-loved Axis cyclocrosser. I have a hitch on it and pull a Croozer Cargo trailer on bike trips. I don't dare put panniers on the bike... I'm enough of a load for the poor wheels!

I have a light road bike, but the cyclocrosser is super-versatile. It's built for abuse (ever see a cyclocross race? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkOhzvv-4vA&NR=1) and came with 700x35 tires, so it will easily handle most surfaces. When I go on a road trip with it, I swap the tires out for 700x28 Ultra Gatorskin road tires that still give a decent ride, but roll a lot easier than the treaded 35s.

Apparently, cyclocross inspires some ridiculous videos!

Happy riding to you too,

Nice pics. I also like the lil Koyote. And NOW I need to get back into biking! Used to go 4-5 times a week, 20 miles each day, but have been lazy as hell recently. Any suggestions on a cheaper way to go?? I am not so into it that I know all the technical stuff, I just want to do some off road but mostly trail riding.
