Awesome..Spending time with your dad is good stuff bro, enjoy. Is that a Gamewarden on your belt?

My money is on your dad, he has an axe for back-up you only have a little bitty knife !!!

Its a RAT 3 in D2, plain edge. It spent all last summer on my belt like that and was used ever day! I went home and helped my dad with the ranch. I love that little knife, sometimes it hard to get to my pocket knife, especially with gloves on. So now I always have a fixed blade, pocket knife(LW T2), and Gerber multitool. And they all seem to get used almost every day.

THIS is why I hang out here...just a couple of guys having fun with saws, knives, axes, in the great outdoors!

all you had to do was drop your level & slide in for the double leg

Good stuff. That's a great thing you did to help out your dad on the ranch.

Our ranch is North West of Lake Tahoe in the sierras, we were cutting up some wood for the winter, which means over 20 cords.
Those are the small saws, you should see the ones with 5' bars! My dad worked in sawmills when he was younger as a timber faller, and ended up the head mill-right (guy who can fix anything in the mill). But the mill closed in the early 1990's and now we just cut for fire wood.
And I am a wrestler, or I was. Just had a career ending injury; herniated two discs in my neck.

Haha, cool pictures.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate wrestling accident. Sounds like you had a really good thing going. Stay up.

Having grown up warmed with a wood stove, I can appreciate how much work that is. Hope you enjoyed a cold one after.:D
Do you use a log splitter for cutting up those big rounds? I am guessing your dad could build one with his eyes closed.

Well, I usually have to split them into smaller chunks by hand, to load them into the truck, then we use a splitter that my dad built himself. Most of our machinery we build ourselves. The old man is a genius when it comes to machinery.
