Some Primitives

Well I was feeling a little nastalgic and felt like something with an older feel to it. I think these would be great knives for reenactors who want a real period look and sill have a good knife. So here ya go and hope you at least find them interesting.

All knives descibe the same except for blade dimentions and ornamentation.

Early American Primitives

Blade; L-6 Saw steel, 1/8 inch thick. Blade has been browned and
is slightly pitted near spine to keep an old and rustic
appearance.

Handle; Whitetail deer leg bone wrapped with whitetail deer
rawhide and bound with artificial sinew.

Sheath; 8/9 oz leather wrapped in heavy rawhide.

Blade length, 5 3/8 inches long,1 1/4inches wide at choil, OAL is 10 1/2 inches. Sheath ornamented with bird feet brass cone and horse hair tassel.

Blade length,4 3/4 inches long,1 3/8inches wide at choil OAL is 10 inches. Sheath ornamented with red fox canine teeth tin cone and horse hair tassel.

All knives also have a simple leather tether through the back of sheath.

those are just awesome and I can't believe 2 are still here. The lookers must think they are just toy knives and not real users .
 
Thanks Oneill, They are working knives not just a pretty bit to go with your costume, IMHO I think the period look came out fairly well
