Hello!I'm new here,I love the knives,I started to make a knife(spring steel-5160),but now I need the forge.I want to make a small gas forge made of bricks.How I can make the forge?How I can make the gas burner?When I use methane gas it will work for forging?
And I have some damascus knives and I want to make mosaic pins,how to make the pins?I will use German Silver Steel.
Sorry for bad english but I live in Romania and I'm just 15 years old.

A two-brick forge is often a starter forge. It can't do everything, but it works good enough to get you bitten by the knife making bug, and ready to make a better forge. ( search "two-brick forge" for lots of threads).

When you say "spring steel - 5160", do you know that ( because you bought 5160 from a supplier) are or you guessing it because you read it somewhere? This is the number one mistake new makers do. Please get a piece of known steel. If you are broke and can't afford a piece ( just a few bucks for enough to make several knives), one of the European makers may offer to give you a piece ( after you have filled out your profile).
