Wow. Simply, wow. Takes on an entirely different feel with wood scales. Even makes the '7 look less combat-ish. Diggin' those matching firesteels too!! Nicely done!

very nice! i like that contrast between the expensive wood and "blue collar" wear marks...kinda like seeing a rolls royce in a burger king drive-thru :D

I've seen a Rolls Royce triple parked at a McDonald's in Connecticut. The closest car to it was an 80s Toyota Tercel. Out walked a hefty family of 5 which.... quickly got in the Toyota. Next came out a beautiful Indian woman and what looked like her midget. Her midget promptly jumped in the back and the woman was the driver... Oh yeah, gorgeous wooden scales~

Mind if I add that post to the handle mod thread?
Or you can copy it in there yourself.

Great work.

those are amazing! any chance on posting a "how-to"? i keep telling myself i want to make some exotic scales for mine, but then I follow up with "ah, i'll just F it up" and decide not to.

Nice!!! I like the use of only two screws on the scales, make them more attractive and pleased to the eyes. Very nice finished on the wood are they stabilized some how?

Man that is some quality work. Simply beautiful.:thumbup::thumbup:
