yes it is a full buck from the factory!
it looks like a Aussy got hold of a 110 and made a
now that is a 110 !!!

any guess how this done?

the NRA father son presentation of first gun
this one is kind of hard to find

a new mother of pearl custom ... well it is old custom shop really..

Nice Dave. Looks like you have added to the herd there with some really out standing knives. You never sease to amaze me. HL

WOW Dave! Some really nice knives!

I wish Buck had done more of that NRA one, but I bet you don't LOL :D

really it would be nice to have
more of all of them
three things would happen
it would give every one a chance to collect them all
they would not be so hard to find
and they would not be so $$$$ when you did find that one you were missing!!
i collect bucks like some collect deer racks
i want all the different looking ones for the effect ...
not 'cause they are expensive and will be a great investment

Hold it right there. So let me see if I understand what is going on here: Because the 186 is user serviceable, screw construction, there are blade options? Can just anyone swap blades, no fitment skills or special machining required, or is this type of modification of the 186 only for a talented and equipped knife adulterator?

I wonder what other blades easily fit the 186?

How many funny 186's do you posess?

Thanks for the terrific pictures. Very generous of you. It is always big fun for me to see into your exciting collection.

well ... gee ...
ugh ... yes most any 110 blade will fit in a 186
after you asked i took it apart to see inside
yes most any one can reasamble one
if you watch how it comes apart
you will need to use a brass bushing like this one has
i tryed to use a extra stainless bushing but it
would NOT fit so i did not force it
ugh i have several odd and unusual 186 and 560's

and on the other - yes it folds up like a 110
yes i know jest how it was done..
no i dont think it will be done again as it was a lot of fitt'n to work
it was made as a experimental lets see knife by a buck employee
the employee at buck did not seem to like its shape much
but it turned out quite a lot as i envisioned it when i heard of it
yes it was legal for him to take it home and send it to me
can any one guess what blade was used?

how do you get the buck hunting yorkie to have that same "I dare you to try and take one" look in every pic?:)

I guess Goliath 446 blade

imafritz I believe that you are correct about it being a 446 blade. I just compared my Goliath to a 110, and I think it would work. Not that I would ever want to try it tough. HL

Top ten answers:

1. Talented, gifted and well-paid taxidermist.
2. Freeze ray.
3. Obedience classes.
4. Strong drink.
5. Doggie treat.
6. Unabashed canine love of cutlery.
7. Mood swing stuck on full-tilt.
8. Not what imafritz said, actually Yorkie is fouling on the carpet.
9. Paws nailed to the floor.
10. Buck actually issued that particular model of Yorkie (underside has C.J. Buck signature engraved).

Awesome new additions to the 110 collection. I wish you would get a new camera to better show off those gold etch blades of yours. However, that mite get a few of the newbies interested in our beloved gold rush bucks. Can you get a better photo of the Duck blade?

The Egyptian Pharoahs had lapis cutlery 5,000 years ago.

I saw a lapis lazuli adorned fixed blade knife a few years ago in person. It was stunning. There is no other blue like that blue.

110 Dave has a beautiful lapis folder. Lucky.

It has been a dream of mine for years. I thought that lapis was only mined in Afghanistan so kinda hard to get a bargain on some right now. I figured that I was the only one who liked blue rock handled knives.

Thank you kindly for the photos.
