The last and my favorite.

A Case 8 dot (1972) 6207. Clearly she has been carried and used but still walks and talks with the best of them. There is lots of life left in this one. I'll clean it up a bit and then in the pocket it goes.

Really nice stuff. I really like the Case and the sodbuster.

Mike,

In the 70's and 80's Case used dots as a dating stamp. 1970 - 10 dots through 1979 1 dot.

Danm. Love that Case. Do you know the steel on the S&M Buster? thats sweet also!

I find the stag quite striking.

Might I ask the alloy?

Danm. Love that Case.

You know...it is uncommon for a production knife to really grab me. I appreciate the good qualities of my production knives but every Case knife I have from the 1960-1970s really grabs me. There is just something about them that makes me happy I love knives. :)

I unwrapped this one...opened and closed the blades....perfect pull on both (about a 6) with nice half stops. Both blades are centered....no play in either direction. F&F is outstanding. Holding a used 36 year old knife like this one....not only makes me happy I love knives but also reminds me WHY I do!

That is sure one slab of stag!
Very nice indeed!

The Whittler in Cocobolo are hard to get, I have one in the white Carved Stagbone.

Nice jigging on the Case, what color is the bone?

Very nice.... I understand your sentiment on that 6207.
I have a 4 dot red bone 6207, but my blades haven't developed as much character as yours yet :D
I think if I ever lost that knife it would be enough to make me shed a few tears.

I'm a big fan of the Queen Cocobolo series. I grab them whenever I see them.

As to the color of the bone on the Case, I believe it is supposed to be red but it is very dark.

There was a wide variation of coloring on the earlier red bones.
Some I have are very red while some were so dark they almost look black with subtle hints of red usually on the ends.

The bold text above describes this one exactly.
