Some Recent Slips

It is the same batch of jigged bone, lighter in color, from the 2006 Schatt series, but has 1095 steel instead of stainless 420HC. Other subtle differences, like fancy bolsters, and different shield. Queen wouldn't let me make it look too close to "series XVI".
Same size as the Cattle knife, but a bigger, more robust punch!

Left is the HJ, right the Cattle knife.

Incredible knives, just incredible, thank you for taking the time to share them...Waynorth is it possible for a poor old farmer boy to have a chance at finding an Ivory Scagel one day....??

Thanks again,

Sunburst

Sniff, sniff...It's so beautiful....

Yeah that's what I'm talking about, now stop teasing me, I'm getting cranky... ;)

I don't mean to tease, sunburst, and I know you want to see more! I just shipped out 30 knives today, and picked up this one!! The 2-blade was already on the scanner from the last pic, so I just added the Scagel #8 for comparison.

Apparently they only made 16-17 of these!

Ohhhhhh you dirty dog, I was sitting here at my work computer waiting for the old dial up to finally download your picture of a #8 in stag or bone and that ivory beauty comes up...Ahhhh I want it...She's a beauty, I had no idea that the #8 was going to be available in ivory as well...

Very nice, you have gotten my attention with your abundance of Scagels  :D ......

Thanks,

Sunburst :p

Dave Shirley owns the Scagel name, and he did some very short special runs of each knife. When I can get to the bottom of my safe, I'll take a pic of a couple others. I don't know if there are any Ivories left for sale; they went in hours!!

Waynorth, I generally find the Scagels to be very, very nice-looking knives. But these ivory ones are truly stunning work.
